Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Yokohama Geolandar G055 is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire boosts the all weather traction. The detailed tread design and the orange oil and silica compound upgrade the grip with dry, wet, and winter weather conditions. This compound blend allows the tire to optimize the rubber flexibility in various temperatures, reinforcing the tire against summer and winter weather conditions. The tread design with the notch and siping placement firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges. The wider circumferential zigzag and transition grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint. This guarantees a safer year-round performance.
The stronger compound and the optimal tread profile work together to improve the length of the tread life. The reinforced compound elements optimize the rubber flexibility throughout the performance. The compound combats premature wear formations. The tread design's ideal tread profile ensures even wear along the footprint, effectively resisting irregular wear formations. The slower and even wear across the tread area ensures a longer-lasting service life and usability.
The stronger traction and the durable compound elements ease the pressure off the tire. This combination allows the tire to minimize the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire which determines the vehicle's fuel intake needed to keep the tires in motion. Lowering the rolling resistance decreases the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels, promoting a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience.
The tire also ensures a comfortable performance. The tread design features integrated shoulders which greatly lower the road and tread pattern heard in the vehicle's cabin. They do not allow airwaves to enter the tire's footprint and come into contact with the tread elements. As a result, the road and tread pattern noise cannot ruin the passengers' driving enjoyment. This guarantees a quiet and comfortable drive at all times.
The Yokohama Geolandar G055 also boosts controllability. The tread design's road contact and the full nylon cover of the internal structure keep the road contact while the tires are in motion. The better surface contact increases the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. The better handling enables the driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle at all times.
This tire model was manufactured as the original equipment tire of select vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
