Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Yokohama C.drive 2 ZPS is a performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire features ZPS (Zero Pressure System) technology, which in case of air pressure loss caused by a puncture or any other damage, enables the tire's use for 50 miles with the maximum speed of 50 mph. Such functionality of the tire is ensured thanks to its strengthened sidewalls, which support the vehicle's weight and allows the driver to safely reach the nearest location to fix or change the damaged tire. These tires cannot be used together with regular tires on the same vehicle.
The model's performance on wet and dry road surfaces is improved by employing the 'Full Logic' asymmetrical pattern. Its wide circumferential grooves and the spiral drain are designed to efficiently remove water from beneath the tire and avert hydroplaning. To secure better handling in dry conditions, the tread contact with the road is widened. The shortened lug grooves that remain rigid during cornering enhance controllability. Adding the orange oil to the silica-rich compound improves the summer grip.
Another characteristic of the tire is fuel efficiency. Due to the silica-rich compound, the heat build-up is decreased, lowering pressure accumulation along the tire during the drive. The rubber mixture also retains long interconnecting polymers to increase the tire's strength and diminish its flexing. As a result, the tire's rolling resistance is toned down, so the engine uses less energy and allows better fuel economy.
The Yokohama C.drive 2 ZPS displays excellent controllability thanks to its particular tread design. With the widened tread traction with the road, the shortened lug grooves on the inside shoulder stay rigid during cornering. To prevent uneven wear and reduce the stress on the central rib, diamond-shaped bevels are added to the tread design. Because the tire is effective at managing heat and pressure build-up, it delivers great handling at high speed driving.
This tire model was manufactured as the original equipment tire of select vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
