The Sumitomo Touring LXH is a touring all season tire manufactured for crossover vehicles and SUVs. The special computer designed tread pattern enhances the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability greatly. The all weather performance is further improved with the tire’s circumferential and lateral grooves that prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire’s footprint. This combination ensures a safer year round driving experience.
The model is easily controlled. The computer-optimized tread design enhances the tire’s steering responsiveness and driving stability thanks to the solid center rib that maintains road contact at all times. The special independent shoulder blocks increase the number of biting edges needed for safer cornering and maneuvering ability and power. The maintained road contact also manages to shorten the braking distance by creating friction at the moment of braking.
The Sumitomo Touring LXH’s internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with a spiral wrapped jointless nylon band. This prevents deformation under the driving pressure and improves the tire’s overall strength. The tire keeps close to the road surface thanks to the polyester casing that reduces the road vibrations felt in the vehicle’s cabin. The better uniformity and comfortable driving experience heighten the driving quality.
