The Sumitomo ST727 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. This model was created for the vehicle's trailer axle.
The model offers excellent all season traction. The tire combines the special five-rib pattern with the wide groove placement in order to enhance the tire's grip on dry, wet, and winter weather road surfaces. This is achieved with the higher number of biting edges generated. The stronger compound helps to optimize the rubber flexibility in summer and winter conditions. Circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning in wet conditions, as they channel water and slush away from the footprint.
The ideal tread design allows the tire to enhance the tread life by working together with the durable compound. The consistent road contact enables the tire's equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering, and braking. As a result, the tire effectively resists irregular wear along the footprint. On the other hand, the stronger compound protects the tire from premature wear, while also avoiding tread damage. Chipping, tearing, and cracking are resisted, preventing them from shortening the tire's overall service life.
The Sumitomo ST727 increases the load durability as well. The internal structure features a four steel belted casing, which maintains the ideal tire shape at all times. Since the tire does not deform under the load and driving pressure, it is able to significantly boost the overall load capacity. This results in the tire's better load handling capability, guaranteeing its secure heavy-duty application.
