The Starfire SF 340 is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This tire provides superb all weather traction with the asymmetric tread and all season tire compound. On the other hand, the ideal tread design also improves the hydroplaning resistance throughout the tire’s performance. This greatly upgrades the year round driving safety levels.
The rubber is able to maintain its flexibility throughout the year, including in colder weather, thanks to the tread compound. The tread elements and detailed siping design firmly grip the road all year while the wide circumferential and lateral grooves channel water away from the footprint. In this way the tire avoids hydroplaning for a safer drive.
The SF 340 features a solid, continuous center rib that boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. This rib provides better road contact, which allows the steering response to be fast and precise while the structure is stabilized. The shoulder tread features an optimized siping pattern that provides extra biting edges for cornering and maneuvering. The deep, lateral shoulder slots also let the tire closely follow the road surface. As a result the driving pressure is spread out across the tire’s surface, preventing uneven wear and extending the tread life. The tread design features a computer optimized variable pitch design. This provides a comfortable, quiet drive by generating a sound frequency to negate the road noise before it reaches the cabin.
