Armstrong Ski-Trac PC Tires
The Armstrong Ski-Trac PC is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles. Armstrong offers a 40,000 mile treadwear warranty. The tire increases the winter traction and the hydroplaning resistance with the winter compound and the detailed, directional tread design.
This model ensures great cornering and braking ability. The shoulder blocks and high-density siping increase the cornering and maneuvering with the additional biting edges. The directional pattern’s high-density siping placement improves the grip on the road surface, shortening the braking distance. The tire can also provide a comfortable drive. The directional tread’s close surface contact absorbs the driving shock, minimizing the road vibrations felt by the passengers.
The Ski-Trac PC offers exceptional winter weather traction. The directional tread design with the siping pattern and the winter compound work together to improve the cold temperature road gripping ability. The deep lateral, circumferential, and notched grooves actively resist hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from beneath the tire’s footprint. The tire can be equipped with extra studs to increase its winter weather, especially ice, traction. While the tire firmly grips the road surface in all winter weather situations, it is not recommended for use in warmer temperatures, as the tire compound will not maintain its flexibility in such conditions.
- Winter TireThe winter weather traction is ensured by the directional tread design with the siping pattern and the winter compound.
- HydroplaningThe circumferential and angled lug pattern disperses water and slush from the footprint, avoiding hydroplaning in wet conditions.
- HandlingThe steering responsiveness and the driving stability are enhanced by the consistent surface contact of the directional tread.
