Michelin XDS 2 Tires
The Michelin XDS 2 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for the drive axle of commercial vehicles. The tire protects the casing from damage. The groove bottom protectors and the angled groove walls eject rocks from the footprint, before they can drill into the casing and shorten the tire’s service life.
The model also promotes a longer tread life. The deeper tread design and the symmetric ribbed tread design work together to enable the tire’s even pressure distribution. The equally circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid irregular and premature wear formations, significantly boosting the usability.
The Michelin XDS 2 upgrades the all weather traction. The high-siping density of the symmetric tread design and the all season compound enhance the dry, wet and winter weather grip on the road surface. The tread elements grip the road surface throughout the year with the use of extra biting edges. On the other hand, the rubber flexibility optimizes the year round performance by securing the summer and winter weather performance. The tread’s circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from the footprint, maintaining the surface contact while the tires are in motion and ensuring the better wet weather driving safety levels.
- TractionThe all season compound and the detailed tread elements increase the dry, wet and winter grip, while avoiding hydroplaning.
- Longer tread lifeThe ribbed tread design’s pressure distribution avoids premature and uneven wear across the tread area, boosting the usability.
- Self-cleaning treadThe groove pattern with the optimized bottom protectors avoids stone retention by ejecting rocks from the footprint.
