The tire was manufactured with a run flat technology, which enables the tire to optimize its performance safety. The stronger internal structure allows the tire to securely withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers in case of air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire due to a puncture or other damage, the tire can still be driven for 50 miles up to 50 mph. This allows the vehicle to securely arrive at a nearby location, where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. Due to their heavier internal structure, run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as regular tires.
The summer compound and the ideal tread design upgrade the summer weather performance.
