Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 ROF is a high performance, summer tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire improves the summer weather traction. The summer compound and the asymmetric tread design enhance the dry and wet grip on the road surface. The stronger compound elements effectively prevent heat build-up along the footprint, while the tread elements grip the road surface with the use of extra biting edges. The tread’s groove pattern avoids hydroplaning by dispersing water from the footprint, resulting in a safer wet weather performance.
The model was designed with the run flat technology. This enables the tire to offer limited and temporary performance in case of air pressure loss. As a result, the tire is able to promote a 50 mile 50 mph performance, enabling the tire’s safer run flat performance. In this manner, the tire does not allow the vehicle to be stranded on the side of the road. Instead, it can be driven to a nearby location, where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. These tread elements allow the tire to upgrade the driving safety levels. Run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as regular tires, due to the difference in the weight of their structure.
The tread’s center rib maintains the surface contact while the tires are in motion. In this manner, the tire does not allow the tire to improve its steering responsiveness and driving stability. This enables the tire to provide a quick and more precise steering response, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. The tread design’s Active Braking Technology enables the tire to generate friction at the moment of braking. This friction greatly improves the braking power, which significantly shortens the braking distance. The internal structure’s twin steel belt and the heat-resistant compound work together to boost the high speed durability. The tire does not deform under the high speed pressure, which the compound avoids heat build-up along the footprint. This combination enables the tire to securely perform at its utmost high speed capability.
The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 ROF upgrades the comfort levels. The specialized tread block pattern manages to decrease the road and tread pattern noise heard in the vehicle’s cabin. The tread negates the sound waves generated while the tires are in motion, which greatly decreases road disturbances. As the tire does not allow road disturbances to ruin the passengers’ driving enjoyment, promoting a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
This specific tire is marked with MOExtended as it is the original equipment of RunFlat Mercedes vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
