Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The General Evertrek RTX is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles. General offers a 75,000 mile treadwear warranty with new tires of this model.
The model offers superb all weather traction. The special tread pattern and the silica-based tire compound work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The silica in the tire compound ensures the tire's flexibility and gripping ability in wet and winter conditions, while the tread design keeps the tire close to the road surface at all times. The model also prevents hydroplaning as its tread design actively channels water and slush away from the tire's footprint. The constant road contact and hydroplaning resistance boost the year round driving safety.
The specially optimized footprint and tread area enhance the tire's controllability. The tread maintains the tire's road contact at all times which improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The constant contact with the road surface improves the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's instructions and it stabilizes the tire's structure against the driving pressure. The shoulder tread blocks manage to upgrade the cornering capability by heightening the number of biting edges that grip the road surface. The silica-based tire compound also enhances the braking ability. Its road grip enables the tire to significantly shorten its braking distance.
The tire guarantees a longer lasting tread life. The special silica compound manages to slow the tread wear rate down, while the tread design evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread area to prevent irregular wear formations. This combination ensures a slower wearing even tread throughout the tire's lifetime. Furthermore, the tread area features the Visual Alignment Indicator and the Replacement Tire Monitor that enable the driver to easily follow the tire's tread wear rate and ensure a safer drive.
The Visual Alignment Indicator, or VAI for short, places different depth sipes on the tire's two opposing shoulders that wear with the tire. Their wear rate and manner indicate if the tires are wearing in an even manner. It the tread wear of the two shoulders it identical, everything is correct with the tire and it is wearing evenly. However, if the tread wear is different on the two opposing shoulders, the tire is wearing in an irregular manner and the vehicle's alignment needs to be corrected. In this manner, the driver can easily monitor the tread wear rate of the tires and prevent premature wear.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
