Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Features and Benefits:
The Firestone FT492 is a highway terrain, all season tire designed for commercial vehicles. This model is specially designed for the vehicle's trailer axle.
The tire promotes smooth ribs with thin siping. This forms a flat footprint that greatly reduces its rolling resistance. This way, the tire requires less towing to run at the same speed. Since it requires less energy to roll, this saves a lot of fuel. Consequently, this also reduces CO2 emissions, which makes this model an environmentally friendly option. By maintaining its round shape and smooth tread, it provides cost efficiency.
The five-rib design with the smooth ribs maintain constant contact with the road surface. This enhances the vehicle's driving stability and handling, making it easier for the driver to command the vehicle. Each of the ribs is densely populated with sipes, increasing the tire's road gripping ability. All these features reduce the steering response time and improve steering accuracy throughout the drive. As a result, the driver has complete control over the vehicle and the trailer as well, ensuring a safe driving experience.
The Firestone FT492 comes with an adaptive, all weather compound that ensures consistent traction. The rubber blend and the well-designed tread ensure a firm grip in wet, dry, and winter weather conditions. The compound remains flexible despite the changing temperatures throughout the year. This way, the tire's performance is optimized for year round use. The tread also features four circumferential grooves that eliminate slush, water, and snow from the footprint for enhanced road contact. This effectively combats hydroplaning in wet conditions.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
