Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Dunlop Winter Maxx SJ8 Tires

The Dunlop Winter Maxx SJ8 is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The tire increases the winter weather grip by utilizing the winter compound and the detailed directional tread design. This combination optimizes the winter weather, ice, and snow grip on the road surface, boosting the forward motion throughout the performance. The high-density siping placement provides additional biting edges gripping the road surface with extra biting edges, while the compound keeps the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. The four circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint. This enables the tire to upgrade the severe winter weather performance.

The directional tread design and the stronger internal structure allow the tire to upgrade its controllability. The tread maintains the surface contact while the tires are in motion, optimizing the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. The shoulder block placement firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges, upgrading the cornering and maneuvering capability even on ice- and snow-covered road surface conditions.

The heightened number of biting edges upgrades the length of the tread life. The tread elements stabilized the tread elements with better traction, effectively resisting tread flexing. Tread flexing generates unnecessary friction between the tire and the road surface, enabling the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure. This avoids premature and irregular wear formations, elongating the service life. The snow wear bars visually show when the tread wear reaches the end of the winter weather traction. When the treadwear reaches these bars, the tire is no longer safe to be used in winter weather situations. This enables the driver to know when the tires need to be changed, to prevent driving on worn-out tires.

The Dunlop Winter Maxx SJ8 improves comfort levels. The special polyester casing enables the tire to maintain the ideal tire shape under driving pressure. The close surface contact enables the tire to absorb the shock of driving, minimizing the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin. This promotes a comfortable driving experience, as road disturbances cannot ruin the passengers' driving enjoyment.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
