Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Continental VanContact Winter is a highway terrain, winter tire made for commercial vans.
The tire enhances the winter weather performance. The detailed directional tread design and the winter compound boosts the grip on ice and snow surface conditions. The high-density siping placement upgrades the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, even when driving on ice and snow. On the other hand, the durable compound keeps the rubber flexibility in freezing temperatures. The tread design's circumferential grooves avoid hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. These elements further improve the winter weather performing capability, even without the use of studs.
The flat footprint and the four-rib tread design maintain the surface contact. These elements upgrade the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The tread's surface contact upgrades the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The high-density siping placement increases the braking power. The siping pattern creates friction between the tire and the road surface at the moment of braking, significantly shortening the usability and the tread life. These elements enhance the braking power and offer a safer driving experience.
The Continental VanContact Winter utilizes the silica compound and the tread design to enhance the traction. As a result, the tire eases the pressure off the tire, minimizing the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire which determines the vehicle's needed fuel intake elements. The reduced rolling resistance decreases the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This combination ensures a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience.
This tire model was manufactured as the original equipment tire of select Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
