Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Continental ProContact TX is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles. It has some high performance sizes as well.
The model promotes excellent all weather traction. The all season compound and the ideal tread pattern work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather grip. The tread's detailed siping and notch placement, as well as the groove pattern, manage to increase the number of biting edges gripping the road surface in various weather conditions. On the other hand, the durable compound keeps the rubber flexibility in different temperatures, promoting a secure performing capability. The tread's circumferential grooves actively channel water and slush from the footprint, greatly boosting the hydroplaning resistance. This further increases the wet weather driving safety levels.
The tire upgrades the controllability. The tread design manages to maintain the surface contact throughout the tire's performance. This allows the tire to increase the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering is faster and more precise in its steering response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. This combination greatly enhances the driver's control over the vehicle, which ensures its maneuvering capability even during its high speed performance.
The tire's stronger all weather traction eases the pressure off the tire during the drive. In this manner, the tire actively resists heat build-up along the tread area, which reduces the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure which determines the vehicle's needed fuel intake levels in order to keep the tires in motion. Lowering the rolling resistance results in the vehicle's decreased fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels, guaranteeing a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly performance.
The model with the tread design greatly upgrades the comfort levels. The tread design utilizes the center rib and the special cushion compound to lower the road and tread pattern noise during the drive. This allows the tire to channel the airwaves through the footprint, without allowing their contact with the tread elements. As a result, the road and tread pattern noise are not generated and not heard in the vehicle's cabin. On the other hand, the cushion compound absorbs the shock of driving and impact while the tires are in motion, which greatly lowers the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin. This combination results in a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
The Continental ProContact TX also greatly extends the usability. The durable compound and the maximized contact area of the tread boost the model's tread life. The compound is heat- and wear-resistant which slows the tread wear rate down greatly. The tread's surface contact allows the model to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area, resisting irregular wear formations. This combination upgrades the length of the service life.
This tire model was manufactured as the first approved original equipment tire of select Porsche vehicles.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note this is Original Equipment (O.E.) tire size only. The O.E. size is determined by the year, make, model and options of the vehicle. Original Equipment size data is the best information we currently have available to us. TireMart.com is not responsible for fitment errors. The most important aspect of purchasing a tire is its size, which cannot vary. It is buyer's responsibility to verify the tire size information. It is buyer's responsibility to verify whether a specific tire is suitable for a specific vehicle. However, this tire size may be fitted on other vehicles as well. To ensure that you are purchasing the correct tire size for your vehicle, please check the size of your currently mounted tires (locate on the tire's sidewall). The tire's sidewall also features the speed and load rating, indicating the speed and load capacity of the specific tire. The speed and load index can differ from the tires you currently have mounted on your vehicle up to a degree. Please check your vehicle's Owner's Manual or consult with your mechanic regarding the changes of your tire's speed rating and load index. If you have any questions regarding your tire size , speed rating and load index please contact us prior to purchasing and confirm with certified auto technician of any variance in speed and load index and sizes.
