Features and Benefits:
The Continental HDC1 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model is made to be mounted on drive axles.
The model also offers great all weather traction. The optimal tread design and the all season compound enhance dry, wet, and winter road grip. In other words, the ribbed tread pattern closely follows the road surface throughout the year. On the other hand, the all season compound keeps the rubber flexible in warm and cold temperatures. These elements guarantee the tire's safe performance throughout the year. At the same time, wide grooves on the tread area prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from the footprint in wet situations.
The ribbed tread design and the close road contact upgrade controllability. This road contact also boosts steering responsiveness and driving stability. It increases the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. This model excellently grips the road surface with extra biting edges, offering great cornering and maneuvering. These elements give the driver full control over the vehicle.
The tire provides a fuel-efficient performance. The special rubber compound reduces rolling resistance. Fuel efficiency is enhanced, as the driving pressure affecting the tread area is reduced. Low rolling resistance presents the pressure that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tires' motion. The decreased rolling resistance reduces the vehicle's fuel intake levels and CO2 emissions.
The Continental HDC1 also provides a quiet drive. The optimal tread design enables the tire to decrease the road noise generated during the performance. This tread lowers the intensity of sound waves, preventing them from being heard in the vehicle's cabin. As they do not reach the passengers, they are unable to ruin their driving enjoyment. In other words, the tire ensures a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to TireMart.com by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
