Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Features and Benefits:
The Continental CrossContact LX Sport SSR is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
This model is a run flat tire. It was manufactured with Continental's Self-Supporting Run-flat technology which reinforces the tire's structure. This allows the tire to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers after air pressure loss, providing a limited and temporary performance. In other words, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. Ensuring the tire's safer performing capability, this allows the tire to safely arrive at a nearby location, where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. Run flat tires should not be mixed with regular tires on the same vehicle.
The all season compound and the ideal tread design increase the all weather performance. These elements work together to improve the dry, wet and winter weather grip on the road surface. The silica-infused compound maintains the overall rubber flexibility to optimize the tire's performing capability in versatile temperatures. On the other hand, the tread design with the siping and notch placement boost the grip with extra biting edges in different weather conditions. The tread's narrow circumferential grooves channel water and slush from the footprint, significantly improving the wet weather traction and avoiding hydroplaning in the process.
The silica compound and the tread design's stronger traction eases the pressure off the tire during its performance. As a result, the tire greatly lowers its overall rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure which regulates the vehicle's fuel intake levels needed to keep the tires in motion. The durable traction lessens the rolling resistance, which in turn decreases the vehicle's fuel usage and CO2 emission levels. In this manner, the tire guarantees a fuel efficient and environmentally conscious driving experience.
The enhanced traction and the tread design's constant surface contact boost the controllability. The continuous center ribs maintain the road contact at all times, which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, they enable the model's quicker and more precise response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. This enhances the driver's full control over the vehicle. The siping and notch pattern along the tread area and the durable silica compound work together to improve the braking capability. They create friction at the moment of braking, significantly reducing the braking distance and offering a safer performing ability.
The Continental CrossContact LX Sport SSR enhances the comfort levels as well. The tire was designed with the ContiSilect technology, which helps to decrease the road and tread pattern noise heard during the drive. This technology places a sound-absorbing foam on the tire's inner lining, that filters out the soundwaves. This results in the model's exceptional driving comfort as the ContiSilent foam prevents soundwaves from reaching the vehicle's cabin and ruining the passengers' driving enjoyment.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note this is Original Equipment (O.E.) tire size only. The O.E. size is determined by the year, make, model and options of the vehicle. Original Equipment size data is the best information we currently have available to us. TireMart.com is not responsible for fitment errors. The most important aspect of purchasing a tire is its size, which cannot vary. It is buyer's responsibility to verify the tire size information. It is buyer's responsibility to verify whether a specific tire is suitable for a specific vehicle. However, this tire size may be fitted on other vehicles as well. To ensure that you are purchasing the correct tire size for your vehicle, please check the size of your currently mounted tires (locate on the tire's sidewall). The tire's sidewall also features the speed and load rating, indicating the speed and load capacity of the specific tire. The speed and load index can differ from the tires you currently have mounted on your vehicle up to a degree. Please check your vehicle's Owner's Manual or consult with your mechanic regarding the changes of your tire's speed rating and load index. If you have any questions regarding your tire size , speed rating and load index please contact us prior to purchasing and confirm with certified auto technician of any variance in speed and load index and sizes.
