The tire increases the summer weather driving safety levels. The ideal tread design and the summer compound work together to increase the dry and wet weather grip on the road surface. This enables the tire to safely perform in high-heat situations, as the compound is heat-resistant. On the other hand, the ideal tread design's surface contact boosts the grip with additional biting edges, ensuring the tire's forward motion at all times. The tread's circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They eliminate water from the footprint and maintain the road surface which further boosts the wet weather driving safety levels.
This tire is a run flat model. It was manufactured with the Self-Supporting Run-flat technology which reinforces the construction. This structure enables the tire to be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph in case of air pressure loss. After damage, the vehicle does not become stranded on the side of the road. Instead, this temporary limited performance enables it to securely arrive at a nearby location where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed.
