The model features a reinforced nylon cord structure and a durable compound, which manage to enhance the load durability and prevent damage. The construction also avoids punctures, cuts and impact damage, while the compound combats tread damage during the tire’s performance.
The Carlisle AT489 X/L upgrades the all terrain traction. The larger tread block and high void ratio increase soft, loose and uneven terrain grip, greatly improving the forward motion on versatile terrain surfaces. This aggressive tread design allows the tire to improve different terrain traction, while optimizing deep mud and loose dirt performance. The tread design also keeps the footprint clean by eliminating snow, mud and rocks stuck between the tread elements. This prevents stone retention by ejecting rocks lodged between the tread elements, before they can drill into the tread and harm the casing. The self-cleaning tread also avoids mud and snow from blocking the surface contact throughout the tire’s performance.
