The tire was made with Bridgestone's run flat technology. The stronger sidewall structure maintains the ideal tire shape once air pressure leaves the tire, giving it a limited temporary performance. This allows the tire to be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph in case of air pressure loss. As a result, the vehicle will not be stranded on the side of the road, instead it can be driven to a nearby location. Run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle with regular tires.
The L. L. Carbon compound helps to improve the usability. This special compound enhances the pressure distribution with the long molecular chain it creates.
