The tire improves the winter weather performance. The high-density siping placement and block edge pattern of the directional tread design upgrade the grip on the road surface with extra biting edges. The Multi-Cell compound optimizes the flexibility in freezing winter weather temperatures with the stronger silica rubber materials. The tread's circumferential and lateral grooves, along with the notch pattern, work together to boost the water and slush dispersing ability. They prevent hydroplaning when driving in wet situations. This combination allows the tire to upgrade the severe winter weather grip, without using studs, which has earned the tire its three mountain peak and snowflake designation.
The tread design manages to lengthen the service life. The tread pattern's better road contact stabilizes the tread blocks and prevents tread flexing. As a result, the tire effectively prevents irregular and premature wear formations, as the footprint enables the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area.
