The Boto Genesys 218 has larger tread elements that firmly grip the road surface throughout the year, while the compound maintains the rubber flexibility even in colder temperatures. The tread design features wide circumferential grooves to enhance the hydroplaning resistance. They channel water and slush away from the footprint to promote a safer year round driving experience.
The tire provides a longer lasting tread life thanks to its large tread blocks and silica based compound. The increased road contact provided by the tread blocks spreads out the driving pressure across the footprint, preventing irregular wear, while the tread compound reduces the rolling resistance. This not only increases the tread life but reduces the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The maintained constant road contact also means increased controllability. The steering becomes faster and more accurate in response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized, making it easy to handle. The tread design also features a variable pitch sequence that generates a sound frequency while the tires are in motion. This negates the soundwaves for a quiet, comfortable drive.
