Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.

Americus Rugged A/TR Tires

The Americus Rugged A/TR is a rugged terrain, all season tire made for SUVs and light trucks. Americus offers a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with new tires of this model.

The tire promotes a longer-lasting tread life. The reinforced footprint stability and the stronger compound elements increase the usability. The secured stability of the ideal tread elements allow the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. This effectively avoids uneven wear formations. The durable tire compound manages to use stronger, wear-resistant rubber materials, which greatly decrease the model's treadwear rate. The slower and even wear greatly boosts the overall service life.

The aggressive tread design boosts the rugged terrain traction. The optimal tread design allows the tire to improve the soft, loose, and uneven terrain traction, while also promoting a comfortable on-road performance. The tread's staggered elements and high void ratio ensure its forward motion through deep mud and on loose dirt surfaces. This guarantees the tire's secure off-road terrain performance. The tread design also manages to keep the footprint clean of mud, snow, and rocks. As a result, the tire effectively avoids stone retention, while it prevents mud and snow from blocking the surface contact during its off-road drive.

The ideal tread design's optimal surface contact allows the tire to boost its controllability. The versatile terrain contact allows the tire to optimize the forward motion, upgrading the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. This enables the tire to increase the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The shoulder block pattern with the siping placement boosts the cornering and maneuvering ability. This enables the tire to upgrade the driver's control over the vehicle throughout its performance. The tire also features a stronger construction, which enhances the load-carrying and withstanding ability at all times. This upgrades the tire's load capacity significantly.

The Rugged A/TR offers excellent all season traction. The all season compound and the detailed footprint enhance the surface grip in dry, wet, and winter weather surface conditions. The tread area is pinned for studs. When added to the tread area, the tire's winter weather, ice, and snow traction are further upgraded. During the model's on-road drive, the tread's groove pattern manages to prevent hydroplaning in wet weather conditions.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
