The Continental ContiSportContact 5P ContiSilent is a high performance summer tire made to be mounted on passenger vehicles and SUVs. The model was made with Continental's special ContiSilent Technology that lowers the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin by placing a polyurethane sound-absorbing foam on the tread's inner lining.
The tire's great summer traction is the result of the combination of the Black Chilli Powder tire compound and the tread pattern. They grip the road well in both dry and wet conditions. This compound, however, does not maintain its road gripping ability in colder temperatures and winter weather. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning situations and increase the wet traction by dispersing water from below the tire footprint, making the driving experience safer.
The model's controllability and safety are boosted as well. The tread pattern and the special compound grip the road firmly. This enhances the steering responsiveness and precision and the cornering ability and power as it results in the tire's tread stiffness and constant road contact. The Black Chili compound shortens the braking distance by increasing the wet and dry weather braking ability.
